Jaclyn knows voters are very tired of the corruption in Albany. She believes we won’t have change by passing the Assembly seat from one insider to another insider. Jaclyn will be a new voice, a full-time Assembly Member and not beholden to special interests or big money donors.

I am excited to declare my candidacy for the New York State Assembly, 136th Assembly District, representing Brighton, Irondequoit and parts of Rochester.

Jaclyn Richard for AssemblyLegislative priorities that I will fight for include women’s issues, economic opportunities to create jobs for working families, access to affordable housing and health care for seniors, adequate funding for schools, gun safety and government reform.

As the president of the Rochester chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW), I have lobbied for women’s rights including the passage of the Women’s Equality Act. I am a strong advocate for women’s right to choose and make their own health care decisions, for equal pay for women, racial equality, economic justice and the fight to eradicate domestic violence.

I will continue to be a champion for legislation supporting the rights of LGBTQ and other underrepresented communities.

It’s time for me to bring my fight to Albany for the people of Brighton, Irondequoit and parts of Rochester, the 136th district! I ask for your support.
